Powtoon is an amazing technology tool used to create engaging animated videos slides. Video slides which can be used to introduce different topics or help facilitate an entire lesson. Students can even create their own powtoon slides illustrate ideas, participate in group work, and can even use this tool to present presentations. Students from all cultures and background can learn and benefit from this tech tool as it has many options to support students from all walks of life. There are characters of all different nationalities and races that can be used in slides as well as options to access different languages to support students whose primary language is not English. I used powtoon to address social justice in the classroom which is an issue related to student diversity. I created powtoon slides where I introduced the topic of different cultures to my students, then ask them to create their own slides to illustrate and educate the class on facts about their culture.
